PERSONAL HIGIENE

Personal hygiene is the set of practices and habits a person performs to keep his or her body clean and healthy. This fundamental aspect of health and wellness includes several key areas:

Skin Care: Involves daily cleansing with soaps or gels appropriate for skin type, moisturizing with creams, and protecting against environmental damage, such as excessive sun exposure.

Oral Care: Includes brushing teeth at least twice a day, flossing to remove debris between teeth and mouthwash to keep breath fresh and prevent dental problems.

Hair Hygiene: Consists of washing the hair regularly with shampoos appropriate for the hair type, as well as the use of conditioners if necessary, and keeping the hair well groomed.

Nail Care: Includes regular trimming and filing of fingernails and toenails, and keeping them clean to prevent infection and maintain a neat appearance.

Body Hygiene: Encompasses daily bathing or showering to remove sweat, bacteria and dead skin cells. It is also important to use deodorants or antiperspirants to control body odor.

Clothing Hygiene: Involves the use of clean clothes and regular washing of garments to avoid the accumulation of bacteria and fungi.
